Sadly, our time in Nis, Serbia had come to an end.

But, happily, we rode the train in Serbia one more time, on a journey from Nis to Belgrade.

Then, when we arrived in Belgrade, we found the secret train under the city… and got ready to head off to…

We did something different this time and booked a place to stay that had just been added to the listing site, and didn’t have any reviews.

So, how did it go?

This was the part of our time in Serbia that I had been waiting for.

It was time to make our way to the weird Belgrade Center Station (see the last post for more about finding the station) where we boarded a train bound for Nis…

Finding Belgrade train station, the new station, going all over the city

Belgrade had an amazing, beautiful, centrally-located train station right in the city center, for decades.

But then it was moved to a new location, and the tracks to the city center were removed.

Which made no sense whatsoever…

WRONG bus to Belgrade, Serbia, from Novi Sad, and a traditional Serbian dinner

It was time to leave beautiful Novi Sad, Serbia and head back to Belgrade.

We went to the bus station and were happy to find a bus would be departing for Belgrade in about fifteen minutes.

Little did we know that it wasn’t the bus we thought it was…
